Effective October 7, 2026
Applies to: the Premier Staff candidate application portal at app.premierstaff.com and apply.eventstaff.ai (the "RecruitGenie" Platform).
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from candidates, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to satisfy the notice requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA ("CCPA/CPRA") and other applicable law, and it serves as our notice at collection for California candidates.
"Premier Staff," "we," "us," "our" — Premier Staff, the business responsible for the Platform. "You," "Candidate" — an individual applying for event-staffing work.
Effective date: October 7, 2026 (previous version: July 3, 2026). Updated October 7, 2026: Section 10 now describes exactly what Instant Matching does, and Section 7 describes the diagnostic step log we keep to find and fix problems in the application process and how we record the way you arrived. Our Candidate Communication Terms form part of this policy.
This policy covers candidates who apply through the Platform in the United States (currently California, the New York City area, and New Jersey) and, as we expand, in Mexico through our Spanish-language portal (see Section 13). It does not cover our business clients' (event brands, venues, and producers — our "Clients") independent use of your information after we share it with them for placement, which is governed by each Client's own privacy practices.
The table below maps what we actually collect to the categories defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We also keep consent records: for each consent you give (terms and contact, AI evaluation, Instant Matching), the exact wording shown to you, its version and language, the date and time, your IP address and device, and the state rules we applied, so that both you and we can establish what you agreed to.
| CCPA/CPRA category | What we collect, specifically |
|---|---|
| Identifiers | Your first and last name, email address, and mobile phone number, as you enter them on the application form; the internal identifier assigned to your application. |
| Professional / employment-related information | The position(s) you apply for; the city associated with your application (derived from the job you select — we do not ask for it separately); your application responses; and, if you provide a resume, its contents. |
| Audio and visual information | Your recorded video interview (video and audio) and the machine-generated transcript of its audio. |
| Inferences | An AI-generated fit score (a number from 0 to 100) derived from your transcript and application details, used to help recruiters organize and prioritize review (see Section 10). |
| Phone/telecom metadata (derived) | When you enter your phone number, our telephony vendor tells us the line type (mobile, landline, VoIP) and carrier for that number, along with validation and verification timestamps. You do not type this information — it is derived from your number, and we disclose it here for that reason. |
| Communications | The content of SMS/MMS/WhatsApp and email messages between you and our recruiters; your recruiting-outreach consent choice and its timestamp; message delivery and opt-out status; and whether our emails were opened or their links clicked (see Section 5). |
What we do not collect. We do not ask for or collect your date of birth, government identifiers, precise geolocation, or financial information through the Platform. We do not keep server-side logs of your IP address or browser fingerprint, and we do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers. We do keep a first-party diagnostic log of the steps visitors reach on the Platform, which never includes what you type or your IP address (see Section 7). The one-time SMS passcode (OTP) you enter during phone verification is checked with our telephony vendor and is not stored by us.
We use your personal information to:
We do not use your personal information for purposes materially different from these without first providing notice, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
5.1 Service providers (processors). We use a small set of vendors to run the Platform. Each receives only the data needed for its function and is engaged to process it on our behalf:
No sharing of mobile opt-in data. Your mobile number and your text-message opt-in consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent records are not shared with any third party. Your mobile number goes only to the service providers above that deliver our messages on our behalf and, when we propose you for a specific role, to that Client as part of your candidate profile (Section 5.2). See the Communication Terms.
5.2 Clients. To place you into work, we share your candidate profile with prospective Clients. What we share may include your application data, video interview, transcript, and AI-generated score. Clients use this information to decide whether to offer you a shift or role. Once shared, a Client's use of your information is governed by that Client's own privacy practices.
5.3 Legal and organizational recipients. We may disclose personal information to regulators, courts, auditors, and professional advisors where required or reasonably necessary; to enforce our Terms or protect the rights, safety, or property of candidates, Clients, or Premier Staff; and to a successor in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not disclose your personal information to data brokers, and we do not disclose it to anyone for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising (the CPRA's definition of "sharing").
Our disclosure of candidate profiles to Clients for placement (Section 5.2) is made at your direction and as part of the staffing service you request when you apply. However, because the CPRA defines "sale" broadly to include disclosures for non-monetary consideration, the legal characterization of Client disclosures depends on the contractual relationship with each Client.
The Platform uses no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics trackers, and no third-party tracking pixels on its pages — no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session-recording tools. We believe most candidates are surprised by how much tracking is typical on job-application sites; we simply do not do it.
Diagnostic step log (first-party). To find and fix problems in the application process — for example, a step where many people get stuck or an error on a particular phone — we record on our own servers the pages and steps a visitor reaches (such as opening the application form, a form field being started or completed, a form error by field name, submitting, or turning on the camera), together with the device type (phone or computer), browser family, the state and country your connection comes from, the website that referred you and any campaign tags in the link. Each entry is linked to a random ID stored in your browser (see the table below) and, once you apply, to your application. We never record what you type into the form and never record your IP address; we do not use this log for advertising, we do not sell or share it, and no third party collects it. Entries are deleted after 13 months.
How you arrived. We also record how you arrived at the Platform: the website or app that linked you here, the campaign tags and ad-click identifiers in that link, and your answer if you tell us how you heard about us. Your first visit and your most recent visit from a link are remembered in your browser for up to 90 days (see the table below) and sent with your application, where they are kept as part of your candidate file. We use this only to understand which channels bring applicants to us. We do not share it with advertising platforms, and we do not sell it.
The Platform stores exactly seven things in your browser: three functional items, two random IDs for the diagnostic step log, and two records of how you arrived, all described above.
| Item | Type | What it holds | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
rg.candidateSession.v1 |
sessionStorage | Your in-progress application session (name, email, phone, verification token) so you do not lose your place between steps. | Cleared automatically when you close the tab. |
v2.lastCity |
localStorage | The city you last browsed, so the right jobs show first on your next visit. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
sidebar:state |
Cookie | Whether the interface sidebar is open or collapsed (true/false — no personal information). | Per its cookie expiration. |
rg_vid |
localStorage | A random visitor ID for the diagnostic step log, so the steps of one visit can be read in order. It contains no personal information. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
rg_sid |
sessionStorage | A random session ID for the diagnostic step log, the referring website and campaign tags of this visit, and a count of errors reported in this session. | Cleared when you close the tab; a new ID starts after 30 minutes without activity. |
rg_ft |
localStorage | How your first visit arrived: the referring website or app, campaign tags and ad-click identifier in the link, and the page you landed on. | 90 days, then replaced by your next visit. |
rg_lt |
localStorage | The same, for your most recent visit that came from a link, an ad or another website. | 90 days, or until a newer visit from a link replaces it. |
Because we use no advertising or third-party analytics trackers, and the diagnostic step log stays on our own servers, there is nothing on the Platform for a cookie-consent banner to govern. The only third-party requests your browser makes are the font and asset loads described in Section 5.1, and email open/click tracking operates inside emails we send (Section 5.1), not on the Platform's pages.
Staffing is a repeat relationship, so we keep candidate records for as long as we may place you again and as long as we need them for the purposes in Section 4. The periods below run from your last interaction with us (an application, a shift, a message, or a sign-in). Legal holds, disputes, and legal obligations can extend them.
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Candidate file — application data, contact details, transcript, AI ratings and written reasons, recruiter notes, placement and shift records, messages | 10 years from last interaction |
| Video interview recording (and copies held by our video vendor) | 5 years from last interaction; 10 years if you turned on Instant Matching (Section 10), because the video is then part of a consented training set. Deleted within 30 days of your request at any time (Section 9). |
| Consent, opt-out, and do-not-call records (what you agreed to, when, and from which device) | 10 years from the date of the record, so we can demonstrate consent |
| Biometric identifiers | None are created (Section 11). If a future feature creates them, retention follows the law of your state: in Illinois, destroyed when the purpose is satisfied and no later than 3 years from last interaction. |
| De-identified data used to improve our matching and evaluation models | No time limit. It no longer identifies you, and we commit not to re-identify it. |
| Diagnostic step log (pages and steps reached, form errors by field name, device type, browser family, state and country — never typed values or IP address; Section 7) | 13 months from the date of the entry, then deleted automatically. |
| One-time verification codes, MMS media links, in-browser session data | Not stored / expire within minutes / cleared when you close the tab (Section 7) |
You may request deletion at any time (Section 9), and we honor verified requests except where the law permits or requires us to retain specific records.
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
How to exercise. Email us at support@premierstaff.com from the email address on your application, or include the phone number on your application so we can verify you. We verify requests against the contact details on file (typically by confirming control of that email address or phone number) before acting. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits; we will require proof of authorization and verification of your identity. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, extendable once by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary (we will tell you if so), as the CCPA/CPRA provides. Exercising these rights is free.
Residents of other states or countries with comparable privacy laws may exercise the equivalent rights those laws provide through the same contact.
Video deletion. Separately from the rights above, you can ask us at any time to delete your video interview: email support@premierstaff.com and we delete the video and all copies (including at our video vendor, and we instruct anyone we shared it with to do the same) within 30 days. The rest of your candidate file stays unless you also ask for its deletion.
We use AI as a tool to help our recruiters, not to replace their judgment. Here is exactly what happens:
No decision about your candidacy is made by AI alone. The score does not trigger any automated rejection, automated advancement, or filtering — there is no score threshold in our systems that determines an outcome. A human recruiter reviews your application and makes all decisions about advancing, placing, or declining your candidacy, and recruiters may weigh or disregard the score. The AI's role is to guide recruiters and streamline qualification based on your answers and skill sets so a recruiter can identify good fits faster.
We do not use your video or audio to identify you biometrically. The AI reviews the text transcript and, with your consent, still frames for setup and presentation; it never creates a faceprint or voiceprint (see Section 11), and it does not use your ZIP code or location as a factor in any rating.
Instant Matching (optional). On the application form, we ask whether you want Instant Matching. When it is on, we use your interview, transcript, ratings, and outcomes to match you to other open positions as they open, to let recruiters find you by the skills and experience you described, and to train and improve our own matching and evaluation models. When it is off, your interview is used only for the positions you applied for. It is optional and off unless you turn it on; your application is considered the same way either way. Candidates who applied before October 7, 2026 were not asked; they remain in our candidate pool for current and future placement opportunities, as the policy they accepted described, and their data is not used for model training. Only Premier Staff trains on this data, it is never sold, and the AI vendors that process your video are contractually barred from training on it. You can turn Instant Matching off at any time by emailing support@premierstaff.com; that stops matching and future training use right away and does not affect models already trained with de-identified data.
Human review and appeal. If an application is declined, you can ask for the reasons, correct information we relied on, and have a different person review the decision by emailing support@premierstaff.com. State-specific notices (New York City, Illinois, Colorado, California) are in our AI Notice, which forms part of this policy.
We do not use facial recognition, and we do not create voiceprints, faceprints, or other biometric templates to identify you. Our processing of your video is limited to hosting it, transcribing its audio into text, rating the text, and, with your consent, reviewing a small number of still frames for the interview setup and presentation described in Section 10. That review looks at the room, your posture, your clothing, and your audibility; it does not extract face geometry, a voiceprint, or any other biometric identifier, in our own systems or at our vendors.
We do not collect the categories the CPRA defines as sensitive personal information — we do not collect government identifiers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health or genetic data, sexual orientation, or account credentials with access codes, and (subject to the vendor confirmation in Section 11) we do not process biometric identifiers. Your video and voice are processed as application content, not to identify you. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide any notices and rights the law requires, including a "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" option where applicable.
As we expand into Mexico, candidates applying through the Spanish-language portal are protected by Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) in addition to the terms of this policy, including ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition), which you may exercise through the contact in Section 16.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of candidate data, including access controls, encryption in transit, time-limited signed links for media, and vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; if a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and regulators as applicable law requires.
The Platform is for individuals 18 and older, and applicants represent that they are at least 18 when they apply. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date at the top when we do and, for material changes, provide notice before the changes take effect — for example, by messaging the contact information on your application or posting a prominent notice on the Platform. Where a change materially expands how we use information already collected, we will obtain any consent the law requires.
